Health & Nutrition

The Health and Nutrition wing treats the body as the instrument every other study depends on. It offers a practical, evidence-aware approach to training, eating and recovery: sustainable strength work, daily walking, plant-based nutrition, protein, the nutrients a plant-based pattern must cover deliberately, kitchen safety, and how to judge whether a plan is working. Just as important, it teaches how to read nutrition claims, separating what a study shows from what is only hype, in the same spirit as the Academy's habit of weighing claims against sources. These pages are educational and general and are not medical advice.

01 Orientation

  1. Health and Nutrition: Start HereAn orientation to a simple, sustainable routine of strength, walking, whole-food eating and sleep, and to the evidence-first way this wing studies health.

02 Movement and Training

  1. Strength Training for Busy Lives: The Recovery-Based CycleA method for building strength with two alternating full-body sessions scheduled by recovery rather than weekday, and progressed by double progression.
  2. Daily Walking and Easy CardioHow to build a daily step habit and use conversational-pace cardio as a low-stress aerobic base, without creating exercise debt.

03 Eating Patterns

  1. A Plant-Based Eating Framework You Can RepeatA practical method for building satisfying, repeatable vegan meals around plant protein, starch and produce, with a view of what the evidence does and does not show.
  2. The Daily Dozen and Roles Over IngredientsA category-based eating checklist and a substitution method: commit to nutritional roles and treat individual foods as interchangeable choices.
  3. Protein for Muscle on a Plant-Based DietHow to estimate a protein target, spread it across meals, and use common plant foods to reach it, with the research limits stated.
  4. Nutrient Coverage on a Plant-Based DietThe nutrients that need deliberate planning (B12, iodine, calcium, vitamin D, omega-3, protein, iron, zinc, selenium), general adult reference values, and how to check coverage.

04 Kitchen and Body Composition

  1. The Practical Kitchen: Staples, Meal Prep and Food SafetyHow to stock a low-waste, affordable plant-forward kitchen from frozen, canned, dry and durable fresh foods, prepare it in batches, and store and reheat food safely.
  2. Gradual Fat Loss and Maintenance: A MethodA three-phase method for reducing body fat while protecting muscle, then maintaining, judged by multi-week trends instead of daily numbers.

05 Judging the Evidence

  1. Reading Nutrition Evidence: What a Study Can and Cannot ShowA critical-thinking lesson using real food-science examples to separate trials, biomarkers, observational links, mechanisms and hype.
  2. How to Rank Foods Honestly: A Transparent Scoring MethodA method for building a weighted food ranking, with five criteria, ANDI as one limited input, and rules for admitting uncertainty.
