What is kept, and what never is.

SizzlinShred is a small, owner-run study site. It has no advertising, no third-party trackers and no email list. Last updated October 8, 2026.

Visitors

  • Your study progress is kept in your own browser (local storage). It never leaves your device unless you sign in.
  • Visit counts come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you.

If you have an account

  • Your username, and a salted hash of your password (never the password itself).
  • Your study progress: the same cards, studied pages, checks, tasks and seminar notes your browser keeps.
  • A sign-in cookie, valid for 30 days on each device. No email address, no tracking, no advertising.
  • To slow down password guessing: for each sign-in attempt, a keyed hash of the username and network address, kept for at most a day. The address itself is never stored.

Deleting your account on the account page removes all of it (the sign-in attempt hashes expire on their own within a day). Nothing is sold or shared.

The owner's Google Drive app

The site's owner runs a private app, registered with Google as "rclone", that copies files between his own Google Drive and his own computer. It is not offered to anyone else.

  • It reads and writes only the owner's own Google Drive files, and only to keep his notes and backups in sync.
  • Google user data it touches stays on the owner's Drive and his computer. It is not sold, shared, transferred to anyone, used for advertising, or used to train AI models.
  • Access can be revoked at any time from the Google account's security settings, under third-party apps.

Use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
